The Bronze Bowl Project

This project encompasses a decades-long study in a (... never seen any body else do it...) method to hand throw sculpture's wax on a potter's wheel, by artist /  craftsman Robert Anders. The result is a wheel thrown form, carved, pierced, sculpted, then cast directly into yellow bronze by the 'lost wax' method, without molds. Each piece is unique, one-time-only...ever, genuine and enduring.

Robert draws on the ancient and nurturing shape of the bowl as a basic design pallatte... though, this study has lead to a colophany of sculptural forms. Beyond their simple elegance, each of these large, beautiful bowls rings like a bell when tapped. Enjoy !
