Born and raised in Southern California, Robert Allen Anders studied fine art and graphic design throughout the 70's at Mira Costa and Palomar Junior Colleges and San Diego State University. After relocating to Golden, CO, Robert further developed his mastery of printmaking and studio ceramics at the University of Denver.
An accomplished printmaker or etching and intaglio, Robert owned and operated Atelier Colorado in Denver from 1978 to 1992. He has collaborated with numerous renowned printmakers and participated in personal exhibitions of fine art with major galleries in San Diego, Los Angeles, Denver, Boulder, Kansas City, Minneapolis, and New York.
Robert's broad artistic interests and approaches move fluidly throughout the various mediums of sculpture, painting, and printmaking. Often, his exploration follows interwoven threads and themes inherent in each unique medium, building layers of personally distinctive characteristics across a range of styles and forms.
Robert's work is held in private collections internationally.
